"‘And when will you work?’: they ask the mother of El Taiger's daughter, and she responds by talking about the singer's inheritance."

Lisiyaliet Quijano, mother of El Taiger's eldest daughter, responded to accusations of living off the singer's royalties and clarified that her daughter will only be able to access them at the age of 18.

Lisiyaliet Quijano, mother of Yaliet Carvajal —the eldest daughter of the late Cuban singer El Taiger—, responded candidly on Instagram to a user who accused her of living off the artist's royalties after she announced that she is pregnant again.

The comment that sparked the reaction came from a fake account, which wrote: "Oh, but girl, you came to this country to give birth, and work for when?... Oh right, you live off the royalties from Taiger." Lisiyaliet's response didn't take long to arrive...

In a three-and-a-half-minute video, with a serious tone and clearly weary of the criticism, Lisiyaliet reviewed her work history since arriving in the United States in 2022.

"Since I arrived in this country in 2022, all I've done is work. Within 15 days of being in this country, and I think it was even less than that, I had already gotten my first job cleaning offices from 6 pm to 10 pm, where my husband and my 3-year-old daughter were waiting for me outside," she stated.

She detailed that she then worked as a cashier in a market, later in a hotel—which she left due to the night shift—and finally in a chain of stores.

She currently does not work outside the home because she takes her daughters to school at different times, but she was direct about it: "I don't work outside, but I work at home, because just taking my daughters to school, being a full-time mom, doing laundry, ironing, cooking, that is also work from home." Additionally, she mentioned that she creates content on social media and works on TikTok Shop to maintain her financial independence.

Regarding the royalties, Lisiyaliet was emphatic and clarified a point that was generating speculation: “She will be able to access that royalty when she turns 18, and I think it’s perfect for her to do so at that time because she will have the capacity to understand that this money can be used for her university, her home, her car, or whatever she needs at that moment.”

“I am the one who supports my daughter financially, along with my husband, who has been with her since she was four years old, so he also plays a role as her father.”

Regarding the new pregnancy, she was just as straightforward: "I didn't ask anyone for permission to get pregnant, nor am I asking anyone for anything to support my daughter."

The reaction on social media was largely supportive. Hundreds of followers applauded her achievements and her role as a mother. "People never acknowledge that being a mom and wife 24/7 is a job too," wrote one user in the comments. Others urged her not to provide so many explanations to ill-intentioned individuals, while a minority continued to question the economic aspect.

The debate surrounding El Taiger's legacy has been active on social media for months. The singer, whose real name was José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar, passed away on October 10, 2024 at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami after being shot in the head, leaving behind four underage children.

In November 2024, the mothers of three of his children publicly exploded against Jorge Junior, who demanded DNA tests before proceeding with the inheritance. By March 2025, the heirs were making progress in managing the legacy, but the issue continues to spark controversy whenever any of the mothers appears on social media.
