Tekashi 6ix9ine reacted explosively to the controversy surrounding Arcángel for his statements about the Spanish conquest, launching a direct and vulgar attack via Instagram.

The New York rapper of Mexican descent posted a story on his verified account this Thursday, showcasing a multicolored Lamborghini with a superimposed Mexican flag, while the song "PRESIDENTE" by Gabito Ballesteros, Natanael Cano, and Luis R Conríquez played in the background.

But what really ignited social media was the message that accompanied the image:

The publication comes amidst the media storm surrounding Arcángel since his concert on May 14 at the Movistar Arena in Madrid, where he openly defended the Spanish conquest in front of thousands of people.

"We were Indians. These people came and made us speak and value," said the reggaeton artist from the stage, also stating that Spain does not need to apologize for the conquest and expressing pride in the motherland.

The statements sparked an avalanche of criticism, particularly from Mexico, where hundreds of users flooded their social media with messages like "Don't come back to Mexico" or "Don't even show up in Mexico."

The pressure was so intense that Arcángel ended up publicly apologizing last Tuesday in his Instagram stories.

"My intention was never to disrespect Latin America or our indigenous peoples," he wrote. "I love Latin America and I also love Spain, because both are part of our history."

He also tried to nuance his words by assuring that recognizing the Spanish cultural heritage "does not mean ignoring the pain and historical wounds."

Meanwhile, Tekashi continues to accumulate controversies since his release from prison on April 2, after serving three months for violating his probation.

In recent weeks, he has been involved in multiple scandals on social media: he claimed to have shared a cell with Nicolás Maduro and verbally clashed with residents of Miami while flaunting Hermès Birkin bags.

On his part, Arcángel is going through one of the most tense moments of his 20th anniversary in urban music, just as he promotes his album "La 8va Maravilla."
