An image generated with artificial intelligence showing a woman wearing a shirt with the text "With Raúl, not a chance!" is circulating on social media this Friday, shared by communist supporters as a sign of loyalty to Raúl Castro, without realizing that the phrase can be interpreted in a completely opposite way: a resounding rejection of the former Cuban leader.

The image, signed with the name "Luna Méndez", was published by the account of Yelennis Godoy Valladares on the social network X.

It showcases a blonde female figure wearing olive green cargo pants and holding a red rose, in front of what seems to be the Malecón of Havana, where a demonstration in support of Raúl Castro was organized this Friday.

The double meaning of the phrase is the heart of the misunderstanding. In one interpretation, it evokes the revolutionary jargon of bravery and commitment ("with Raúl, with everything"); in the other, the more straightforward one in colloquial Spanish, it conveys that one is not joking with Raúl, meaning an absolute rejection.

The image is circulating at a time of maximum political tension surrounding the figure of Castro.

On Wednesday, the United States Department of Justice declassified a formal indictment against Raúl Castro Ruz and five former Cuban military officials for the downing of two civilian planes from Hermanos al Rescate on February 24, 1996, resulting in the deaths of four individuals: Carlos Costa, Armando Alejandre Jr., Mario de la Peña, and Pablo Morales.

The charges include conspiracy to murder U.S. nationals, destruction of aircraft, and four counts of murder, according to details of the indictment released this week.
