El Dizzy, whose real name was Abraham Fernández, left behind a small yet heartfelt discography that reflects his story as a Cuban immigrant in Miami before passing away last Saturday at the age of 25 in a traffic accident in Miami Beach.

The young reggaeton artist published at least fifteen songs on YouTube between 2023 and 2026, featuring collaborations with artists like redmask, Lucho dBi, Riera, and El Carli.

One of his first published songs was "P.F.T.", recorded with redmask and released in October 2023. This was followed by "Promesa," featuring Lucho dBi, in December of the same year, a song that now holds special meaning: in it, he sang, "six months that I came alone, I worked hard to be it, I promised you, mom, when I was in Cuba, and now I am here."

In February 2025, he released "Estamos Bien" alongside the artist Riera, celebrating his arrival in Miami with lines like "arriving in Miami they know me, these people are on pause while I keep moving forward."

In February 2026, he participated in the song "Tu Tu" alongside El Carli, his most impactful collaboration, with over 66,000 views on YouTube. His last known release was "Mami Tenía Razón," published in April 2026, just weeks before his death.

His lyrics coherently outlined the life arc of a young Cuban who arrived alone in Miami with the promise of self-improvement: the nostalgia for the island, the daily struggle, and neighborhood pride. "I will be the face of my neighborhood and the pride of my country," he said in "Promesa."

Marta Lorenzo, who started a GoFundMe campaign to cover the family's funeral expenses, described Abraham as someone who "was 25 years old, full of life, loved music, wrote songs and sang, and had the kindest heart."

The death of El Dizzy adds to a streak of losses in the Cuban music scene. On May 8, 2026, just two weeks prior, Bolito El Efi, a noteworthy figure in the Cuban urban movement, also passed away in a traffic accident in Havana. In 2025, Cuban music lost salsa singer Paulo FG, troubadour Eduardo Sosa, and composer Edesio Alejandro, three artists who died within less than a month.

Calientalo Media announced the death of the artist on Instagram this Monday with the message: "We deeply mourn the passing of the artist El Dizzy; our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends."
