The Cuban reggaeton artist known professionally as El Dizzy passed away in Miami, as announced last Monday by the media outlet Calientalo Media on Instagram, which extended its condolences to the artist's family, friends, and fans.

"We deeply regret the passing of the artist El Dizzy; our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends," published the outlet, specialized in Latin urban music and the Cuban community.

Sources indicate that El Dizzy, whose real name was Abraham Fernández, was 25 years old and resided in Miami Beach. He lost his life last Saturday in a traffic accident just three blocks away from his home.

According to the fundraising campaign opened on GoFundMe by Marta Lorenzo, Abraham left his home at seven in the morning to go to work on his day off when the tragedy occurred.

“Abraham was 25 years old, full of life, loved music, wrote songs and sang, and had the kindest heart,” Lorenzo described on the fundraising page, where he also emphasized that he was “happy, outgoing, affectionate, and incredibly loving.”

The accident was reported as a hit-and-run. "The person responsible left it there."

The family was cared for at the Jackson Trauma Center in Miami, where Abraham's father, Jorge Fernández, faced loss while dealing with his own health issues.

The young man's mother was in Spain and could not travel due to issues with her legal documents, so she experienced the tragedy from a distance.

"He never forgot special dates and always called me on Mother's Day and my birthday. His mother is in Spain and cannot travel due to issues with her documents, so she suffers deeply from afar," Lorenzo wrote.

The GoFundMe campaign, created last Saturday to cover funeral expenses and urgent needs of the family, raised $15,918 of a goal of $20,000 with the participation of 294 donors.
