Thalía, former partner of Cuban singer Velito El Bufón, broke her silence regarding her romantic life this Monday and publicly confirmed that she is in a new relationship, following the circulation of a leaked video on social media that showed several conversations between her and another young man. These images sparked speculation about her love life.
Everything started when the Instagram account @un_martitodurako8_live_extreme, specializing in gossip about the Cuban entertainment scene, posted a video that allegedly contained a private conversation between Thalía and another young man where they shared video calls and messages.
The post, which garnered over 1,500 likes, sparked comments and led many followers to associate Thalía with the guy in the video.
The young woman responded with a video on her Instagram profile, where she appears from the back, wearing a white top and skirt, with the text: "don't link me to anyone else but the one I'm with; they're not on social media, they're at my house."
Hours later, Thalía was more direct in an Instagram story where she addressed the leak point by point.
“#1 this is a matter of a lack of manhood,” he began, before making it clear that “the people from the past who had anything to do with me are a thing of the past.”
Regarding the content that circulates, he warned: "What comes from me is old, but of course, pain drives people to do these things."
And regarding her current situation, she was emphatic: "I am rebuilding my life with a wonderful person; the day I am ready, I will bring it to light."
This confirmation comes four months after Thalía and Velito announced their separation on February 20, 2026, just days after the birth of their son Thiago on February 9.
Thalía explained at the time that the actual breakup had occurred months earlier, but she had not made it public for the sake of her well-being after giving birth.
Since then, Velito formalized his relationship with Paula Martínez in April, a Spanish cabin crew member, whom he introduced in Havana as "my wife" in May, and with whom he shared a romantic yacht trip in mid-June.
Thalía, for her part, had maintained a more reserved profile when it comes to her romantic life, although on June 15th, she reappeared in a bikini declaring that she is happy without yet confirming any relationship.
This time, there was no room for doubt, although she reserved the identity of her new partner for when she deems it appropriate: "Blessings," she concluded in her story.
