Velito El Bufón chose this weekend to publicly introduce his new partner on Instagram, and the detail did not go unnoticed: it coincides with the birthday of Thalía, the mother of his two children.

The Cuban reggaeton artist published a series of stories featuring himself alongside Paula Martínez, identified as @paula.martinez.00, in two romantic selfies: one with the song "Toda Una Vida" by Leoni Torres playing in the background, and another with "Frente al mar" by Beéle, accompanied by two red heart emojis and a direct tag to her profile.

Paula is a young blonde who works as a cabin crew member and who had already been linked to Velito since March, when they were both seen together in Spain in a photo that sparked the initial rumors.

But the romantic post wasn't the only story the artist shared this weekend. In another publication, Velito addressed the gossip pages that continue to generate content about his breakup with Thalía, making it clear that that story is now in the past.

"The pages keep generating content about something that is very old. We have been separated for almost 6 months… I’m super happy that she is starting her life with a new relationship and I with my current partner… I kindly ask that you stop the gossip, and let us live our personal lives in peace."

The breakup between Velito and Thalía became public on February 20, 2026, although the separation had occurred weeks earlier. It was Thalía who broke the silence through her own Instagram stories, explaining that she had chosen to wait in order to protect her emotional well-being: "Velito and I ended things a few months ago. He decided to live his life and I to live mine. We hadn’t made it public (…) I’m just recovering and for the sake of my well-being, I didn’t want it to become controversial."

The timing was especially delicate: her son Thiago had been born just on February 9, 2026, and Velito left Cuba with his team only three days later, on February 12. Despite the distance and the separation, Thalía made it clear that she held no bitterness: "His well-being is the well-being of my children, which is why I will never wish him harm."

Velito himself spoke for the first time about the separation on March 2nd, with a message that many interpreted as a farewell filled with regret: "You will always be the most important woman in my life."

Weeks later, at a concert on March 31, he went further and dedicated words to Thalía from the stage, promising her lifelong financial support and acknowledging the greatest gift she had given him: "You gave me the most beautiful thing I have ever received in this world: the beautiful children."

The song that premiered on April 9 alongside Dany Ome and Kevincito El 13, titled "Cuidámela", confirmed what many had already suspected. In the preview, it hinted at lines like "I know I hurt her by swimming with other fish" and a chorus that sounded like a confession and a farewell at the same time: "Man, take care of her... and give her more than I gave."
