Brazil concluded the group stage of the 2026 World Cup with a decisive 3-0 victory over Scotland this Wednesday at the , a result that confirms the Canarinha as the leader of Group C with 7 points and keeps the Scots alive as the best third-placed team.

Vinicius Junior was the standout player of the match with a double goal.

In the seventh minute, the Brazilian forward took advantage of a mistake by Scottish defender Scott McKenna, collected the ball, faced goalkeeper Angus Gunn, and finished into an empty net to make it 1-0.

In the 22nd minute, VAR disallowed a second goal from the same player due to a previous foul.

Already in the stoppage time of the first half, Vinicius scored with a header following a miscalculation by Gunn on the ball's trajectory, ending the first half with an undeniable 2-0 lead.

The second half brought the decisive blow: in the 60th minute, Matheus Cunha sealed the match with a 3-0 after receiving a pass from Bruno Guimarães, marking his third goal in the tournament.
