An American influencer turned the Tricolor's training camp into a luxury jewelry store: SteveWillDoIt personally visited the High Performance Center of the Mexican National Team and gifted a Rolex watch to each player and coaching staff member, in a gesture that quickly went viral worldwide.
The reason for the gift is just as good as the gift itself: the content creator, whose real name is Stephen Deleonardis, had bet two million dollars that Mexico would defeat Ecuador in the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup, and he hit the nail on the head.
After watching the Tri win 2-0 with goals from Julián Quiñones and Raúl Jiménez, Steve decided that the best way to celebrate was to share a portion of his winnings with the players who had helped him earn them.
The total value of the delivered watches exceeded one million dollars.
But the delivery of the watches wasn't the only memorable part of the visit: the Mexican players, fully embracing the festive spirit, hoisted the influencer onto their shoulders and tossed him into the air.
The video of the moment quickly circulated on social media and amassed millions of views.
SteveWillDoIt is no stranger in the world of digital entertainment: he rose to fame as a member of the NELK Boys group and has spent years engaging in million-dollar sports bets, luxury car giveaways, and gifts to celebrities and unknowns, always with a camera in hand.
The gesture comes at a time of total euphoria for the Mexican National Team, which under the guidance of Aguirre has achieved four consecutive victories in the 2026 World Cup.
The next challenge for the Tri will be against England this Sunday at the Estadio Ciudad de México.
