Karol G surprised her followers with an unusual post: a photo of herself crying, with her makeup smeared, accompanied by a lengthy message in her Instagram stories that mixed vulnerability, gratitude, and a huge promise for her upcoming tour.
The Colombian singer explained that she had just landed when she decided to share what she was feeling. "July 4, 7:05 PM, I just landed from a flight during which I cried like never before," she wrote.
The first thing he clarified was that his tears did not come from a bad place. "There are tears that arise from sadness... and others that only appear when the soul understands that everything was worth it," he wrote, making it clear that this crying was of the kind that liberates rather than hurts.

Karol G acknowledged that she has been processing her emotions privately for some time. "A long time ago, I stopped sharing many things that I learned to suffer and enjoy in silence," she admitted, but she stated that at that moment she wanted to involve her fans "even if it's energetically."
The message described something akin to a personal revelation during the flight. "Today I feel a LOT of gratitude and a lot of nostalgia... today, after a long time, many things made sense in my head and in my heart... it was like boom boom boom of things and suddenly, there was a lot of clarity," wrote the artist.
The emotional context of the post is significant. Just days before, Karol G had participated in Rosalía's concert in Los Angeles, where she confessed to the audience that an ex had stood her up at an airport on the day they were supposed to celebrate her birthday. Her fans connected the story with Feid, her most recently known partner, whose breakup was confirmed earlier this year.
In addition to all that, the artist also went through a family loss in April and published an open letter to the elected president of Colombia at the end of June. There are many emotional layers built up in a short period of time.
But the message didn't remain introspective. Karol G also turned it into a preview of what’s to come with her tour Traveling the Tropitour World, which kicks off on July 24 at Soldier Field in Chicago. "OUR HEART IS GOING TO BURST WITH HAPPINESS, MAGIC, AND ENERGY," she wrote in capital letters, promising that she has been preparing something special for her fans for months.
The tour, announced in April 2026, sold over two million tickets in four days and expanded from 39 to 63 concerts, making it the most ambitious of her career.
The closing of the message was as direct as the rest: "I love you and have never, ever taken for granted the affection you give me. My commitment to grow and give you my best every day is IMMENSE AND UNENDING." And he capped it off with a "I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU," which perfectly summed up the tone of the entire post: genuine emotion, no filters, and a strong desire to celebrate.
