A young woman identified as Daniela shared a video on TikTok showcasing everything she brought back from her recent trip to Cuba, from handcrafted accessories to traditional clothing from the island, in a post that quickly caught the attention of her followers.

Daniela recounted that she visited a crafts fair in Havana—she believes it was the one in Cuatro Caminos—where she found typical products aimed at tourists at prices that, according to her, she could finally afford. "The prices are set for tourists, so I had never been able to buy it until now when I went and got it at a very good price," she explained.

The piece that excited her the most was a personalized leather wallet with her name and the word "Cuba," to which the seller added a small handbag as a gift. "Finally, I have my typical artisanal wallet from the tourist fairs in Cuba," she wrote in the video description.

Among the accessories she bought for herself, a pendant featuring the Cuban flag stands out —"the moment I saw it, I knew it had to be mine,"— a ring made from an old silver coin from 1948, and another crafted from a seashell that, as she was informed at the fair, is endemic to the beaches of Matanzas. She also took home a keychain with a Habana Club cap.

For her partner Miguel Ángel, a baseball fan, Daniela thought of every detail: a miniature bat, a ball with his name engraved, and a tequila glass with his initials. Additionally, she brought him a green guayabera from the brand Criolla. "Look at this beauty, it's a lovely green [...] it's an original guayabera from the brand Criolla, which is the brand that makes guayaberas," she described enthusiastically.

For herself, she chose a 100% linen blazer from the same brand after not finding the guayabera dress she was looking for in a color that matched her partner's outfit. "It turned out so beautiful [...] this is linen, it's 100% linen, and it looks gorgeous on me," she stated.

The guayabera is considered the most iconic garment of Cuba, made of linen with its characteristic design of four pockets and rows of pleats, and ranks among the most sought-after souvenirs by those visiting the island, alongside rum, handcrafted jewelry, and baseball items.

Daniela also mentioned that she had bought additional gifts for friends that she preferred not to show in the video. "I bought a few other things to give to other friends, but I won’t be showing them yet [...] so as not to spoil what would be their first impression," she explained at the end of the video.
