Cuban actress Danay Cruz, known for her popular character "Lola Mento Guasimita," announced this Friday that she is pregnant with her first child with her partner Maxime.
"Our greatest joy and blessing is on the way!!! Thank you, God, for this immense gift," the actress wrote alongside the heartfelt reel on Instagram, which received an outpouring of reactions from her followers within hours.
In the video, both with the Eiffel Tower in the background, Danay holds a pair of small knitted shoes while Maxime shows the ultrasound of the baby on the way.
The announcement of the pregnancy sparked an avalanche of congratulations among her followers, with hundreds of messages filled with affection and excitement. "Ainsssss, I'm cryingggggg. Congrats!" wrote one user. Another humorously noted, "Aaawwww, the Guasimita community is growing."

The news arrives months after Danay Cruz announced her engagement to Maxime in Paris, when her partner took her to dinner on a restaurant boat in front of the Eiffel Tower under the pretext of a New Year's Eve party for his company and proposed to her. Danay then confirmed it with a resounding "I said yes!"
