The Cuban actress Danay Cruz turned her mother's birthday into an unforgettable moment this Monday by sharing on Instagram the video of her mom's reaction upon learning that she will soon be a grandmother.
"Today is my mommy's birthday (the most beautiful of all mommies, just so you know), and I want to celebrate it with her reaction when she found out she would be a grandmother," wrote the actress alongside the touching reel, which shows her mother receiving the news with a mix of surprise and emotion.
Danay did not hesitate to describe the announcement as the most special gift she could offer: "I don't think I could give you a better present this time."
In the video, filmed in a warm and affectionate family setting, the actress's mother uncovers a dish to reveal some tiny shoes and an ultrasound.
The post garnered over 3,400 likes and 144 comments within a few hours, featuring congratulatory messages for both the future grandmother and Danay herself.
The actress also took the opportunity to express her heartfelt words to her mother: "If you're already the best as a mother, I can't imagine what you'll be like as a grandmother."
The announcement of the pregnancy had been made just two days earlier, on Saturday, from Paris with the Eiffel Tower in the background, where Danay appeared alongside her partner Maxime, showing off some little knitted shoes while he held the baby's ultrasound.
In that post, the actress wrote: “Our greatest joy and blessing is on the way”, along with a “Thank you God for this immense gift.”
This is the couple's first child, and the baby's sex has not yet been confirmed by the actress.
The good news arrives just seven months after Danay announced her engagement to Maxime in December 2025, when he surprised her with a proposal on a floating restaurant on the Seine River, with the Eiffel Tower lit up in the background.
