Wisin expressed words of praise for the Cuban duo Dany Ome and Kevincito El 13 in an interview, acknowledging that their performance caught his attention so much that he began to look for information about the genre and the two Cuban artists.

The Puerto Rican reggaeton artist was direct in his assessment of the moment the duo is experiencing: "I want to congratulate them because they are entering a space where they have no competition. Tell me, what new duo has come out right now? None. They are entering the business on their own and they are killing it."

Wisin also mentioned that he has been closely following the duo's collaborations, including the work they did with Ozuna and the song they just released with Michael Flores. He clarified that he makes these statements "with great humility" because he is "in another" stage of his career, which adds even more weight to his recognition.

Dany Ome's reaction arrived promptly. The Cuban artist shared the clip on his Instagram account with an emotion-filled message that garnered over 35,100 likes and more than 1,043 comments.

"Wooow, waking up and hearing the legend say these words. First, thank you God; second, thanks to Ozuna and Michael Flores for giving me the opportunity to represent my country and our genre that we have defended for so many years," wrote Dany Ome, adding that Wisin "has made him cry" with his words.

In the comments, Dany Ome himself addressed Kevincito El 13 and Magdielito Bonucci to remind them of what he always said: "Only God knows how much we've talked about this; they call me crazy, but I believe every day in the power of God. I told you it was like the duo of history, and look. Wisin, thank you, maestro."

The artist concluded his post with a phrase that encapsulates the spirit of the moment: "Puerto Rico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, one single family."

The praise for Wisin comes at one of the best moments in the duo's career. On April 23, they released "Paciente" featuring Ozuna, a track that surpassed 109,000 streams and 14,000 likes in its first hours, with a previous teaser that had accumulated over 668,000 views.

In May, the duo expanded their reach by participating in "Algo Bonito REMIX" alongside Spanish artists Nyno Vargas and Omar Montes, a fusion of flamenco and urban music that enhanced their international visibility.

Wisin, whose real name is Juan Luis Morera Luna, is one of the founding figures of Latin reggaeton, along with Yandel.

It is not the first time that the Puerto Rican artist has shown closeness to the Cuban community: on July 7, he publicly confessed that “I have wanted to go to Cuba my whole life to give a concert”, after performing at Milander Park, Hialeah, on July 4.

Dany Ome summarized it with words that encapsulate what this recognition means for the Cuban cast: “The one who truly knows has already spoken.”
