The Cuban comedian Limay Blanco publicly denounced that he is being monitored and harassed while he continues his charitable work of preparing meals for more than 100 needy individuals who come to his home, as part of the Ministry's "Cristo Cambia Vidas".
In a video posted on his Instagram account, Limay recounted that his neighbors alerted him to a troubling situation just as he was leaving his house, feeling unwell, to deliver a donation for a young woman with special needs.
"Just leaving the house, some neighbors called me over to say that there were four people in the block asking about me, about my behavior, and what the workers do in the kitchen..."
The comedian also reported coordinated attacks on social media that he attributes to individuals within Cuba, possibly paid to discredit him.
"The attacks also come through social media. I know that all those criticisms are not from the U.S. or from outside of here. They are from Cuba. I realize this because, for example, one person writes me a comment at 2:00 PM and at 2:05 another person replies. They seem like a team of individuals dedicated to doing those things to discredit."
Despite the pressures, Limay reaffirmed that he will not halt his work and made it clear that the project goes beyond his personal figure.
"I want you to know that this ministry is not Limay Blanco, it is called Cristo Cambia Vidas. It is not mine; it belongs to God."
Last week, their dining hall served 115 people and the record for a single day has been 160 meals distributed. The initiative is sustained thanks to donations from supporters both inside and outside of Cuba, as well as the efforts of their family and volunteers.
The investigations in the neighborhood came at a particularly difficult time for Limay and his family. The comedian recorded the video while suffering from diarrhea, vomiting, and fever, and his wife was also unwell.
However, Limay asked those who attack him on social media to watch the video until the end, as he had something much more enriching to share. "We will continue doing good."
She demonstrated direct support to a woman named Kenia, to whom she brought an EcoFlow kit with a battery and solar panel, as well as a rechargeable fan, to alleviate the prolonged power outages affecting her.
The young woman is facing a critical situation and has physical and mental disabilities. She received support from Limay's followers to improve her quality of life.
«Cristo Cambia Vidas» has accumulated six years of charitable work and has provided over 40 homes to vulnerable families in Cuba.
It is not the first time that Limay faces pressure from the government. In 2024, he requested the Cuban authorities to legalize his humanitarian initiative.
In March 2026, the comedian lamented the situation in the country with a phrase that summarizes his view: "We are our own enemies".
