The Cuban singer Ja Rulay turns 23 surrounded by love and with a novelty that changes everything: it is the first birthday he experiences as a father. Both his mother, Chanel, and his girlfriend, Marell Infante, dedicated heartfelt messages on social media that quickly moved his followers.
Marell shared two Instagram stories to celebrate the occasion. In one of them, posing together in front of the Almudena Cathedral, she wrote: "It's 23 years of achieving everything you set your mind to. I'm proud of you for who you are. God didn’t make a mistake in choosing you as the father of my son." In another, lying on an outdoor lounge chair next to their baby, she added: "Happy birthday, my love; words are unnecessary when all I want is for you to be happy... Your son and I love you; we will always be there for you in everything. I love you, my love."
Paternity is undoubtedly the main highlight of this birthday. Ja Rule Junior entered the world on May 15 in Spain, and just a few days before the birthday, the family posed together for the first time by the sea, in a picture that melted hearts on social media.
The artist's mother also wanted to leave her mark on the celebration with a post featuring several images that reflect different moments in her son's life, from a photo in the Madrid subway to a tender scene at the beach with the baby in her arms.
"Son, I want you to know that watching you grow, becoming the man you are, and being able to call you my son is one of the greatest blessings of my life," wrote Chanel, who acknowledged that the date comes with a recent pain.
«And although this birthday is marked by a sorrow that is still very recent, I want you to experience it, to be happy, and to remember that your mom will always be by your side, celebrating your achievements and supporting you when life gets tough,» he added, referring to the death of Frank Armando, a close figure in the singer's circle, who passed away on July 20.
Despite the melancholy, his mother's message concluded with all the pride that can fit into a single sentence: "Happy birthday, my only son. 23 years of love, pride, and blessings. I love you with all my heart."
