The Cuban influencer Samantha Espineira shared a video on Instagram this Tuesday in which she recounted for the first time, with all the details, how she discovered she was expecting her first daughter, a story marked by surprise, fear, and a happiness that she herself took time to process.

The story begins with a specific medical context: Espineira was undergoing treatment for rosacea when she became pregnant. Her doctor had warned her that, during that process, conceiving would be "very, very, very difficult." That warning made her let her guard down just as she and her husband, Norlen Serra, moved into their new home and celebrated the moment.

"My love, you can't let your guard down, you can never let your guard down, because there it was," she admitted with laughter as she recalled her oversight.

The first sign came one night, around one in the morning, when she suddenly craved ice cream. For someone described as strict with her diet and not much of a sweet tooth, that indulgence was already unusual. Upon taking the first bite, a deep gag caught her off guard, and Serra looked her in the eyes and confidently told her that she was pregnant.

Espineira didn't believe her. She requested pregnancy tests through a delivery app at that hour of the morning, took them immediately, and the result was negative. "I was absolutely certain I wasn't pregnant," she recalled. Her husband, however, insisted, "Take that test in 15 days because you are pregnant, Samantha."

Days later, with five or six days of missed periods, Espineira took another test. The result was positive from the very first drop. What followed was not the euphoria she had imagined, but a state of shock that she did not expect.

"Being a mother has been the dream of my entire life. A dream, a dream of my entire life," she confessed. "But when it actually becomes a reality, it fills you with so much fear, you feel so much apprehension. I was completely in shock; I was literally shaking," she added.

He ran out to find Serra and showed her the evidence. He reacted with calmness and emotion: "I am very happy, I want us to have it, to add a family."

The couple publicly announced their pregnancy last March with an ultrasound image and the message "Baby Serra is on the way!". Two weeks later, a gender reveal held in Miami confirmed they were expecting a girl whom they will name Alana.

Since then, Espineira has documented every stage of the process: she showed Alana's decorated room in June and shared the preparations for the birth in the following weeks. This Tuesday, joking that she is "in week 267," she made it clear that the baby has not yet arrived but that she feels comfortable and protected.

«Alana and I in week 267, I told you we were and whenever she feels ready, she will come into this world. May God bless her greatly and may she come with abundant health, that is the only thing I wish for,» concluded the influencer.
