Imaray Ulloa once again proved that humor is her best shield. The Cuban influencer posted a reel on her Instagram account this Tuesday in which she responds with sarcasm and irony to the rumors that circulated on social media following her separation from Fabián Fontaine, including speculations about a supposed romance with a younger man than her ex-partner.
The video starts with Imaray pretending to reveal "the truth" about the breakup: "Basically, one day Fabián said, look, this relationship is over, we can't continue. And then I said, well, that’s fine, I’m going to start dating a much younger guy to see if I can get through this time a little...". The sentence is interrupted when Fabián appears on scene, and she immediately clarifies: "I'm just repeating what people are saying because that's what creates controversy, it's no big deal."
Far from a distressed denial, the tone of the reel is one of calculated mockery. Both reaffirm that their separation was amicable and mutual, something they had already communicated publicly at the end of July. "Why should we care what people say? Let them invent their own stories," Fabián says in the video, attempting to convey to Imaray that they should turn their backs on the gossip.
However, the influencer does not share the same opinion and provided her analysis of the situation with full irony: "I disagree; I think we should support those accounts that do not generate views with their own content. Those people have families to support. Who am I to take food out of their mouths?"
The ending of the reel is a direct jab at those who create content on social media at the expense of the private lives of public figures. "Those people don't have the privilege of generating millions of views by talking about their own lives. Some have to sell mine," Imaray concludes with a laugh.
This new video is the final chapter of a media saga that began when the couple jointly announced their breakup after approximately five years of relationship. In that video, Imaray stated, "We had a beautiful relationship. Over time, things change a little; we are amicably ending it. It's not that there has been any kind of problem or anything."
Since then, the separation has continued to generate reactions. The comedian Yubrán Luna —Imaray's ex-partner— published a parody of the breakup video alongside Rosa Vasconcelos, which many interpreted as an indirect message. Days later, Imaray posted a reflective video on TikTok with the phrase "no one from your past needs to be in your present because your past has already fulfilled its purpose," which was seen as a message about Fabián.
