Bershka, the youth chain of the Spanish textile giant Inditex, made its entry into the U.S. physical market this Tuesday with the opening of its first store in the country, located at the Aventura Mall in Miami, Florida.

Until now, the brand only operated digitally for customers in that market. The opening of the physical store marks a milestone for the chain, which has over 850 stores in dozens of countries but has never had a physical store in the United States.

The establishment, located in one of the largest shopping malls in Florida, brings together under one roof the three lines of the brand: Bershka, focused on trendy women's fashion; BSK, with a more casual and youthful style; and Man, the men's collection.

The interior design features a palette of stone, wood, and ceramics, with large-format graphics, spacious circulation areas, and garments displayed on metal platforms, in line with the visual aesthetic that characterizes the brand.

In terms of technology, the store integrates tools that blend the physical and digital shopping experience: customers can place orders online and pick them up in-store within approximately two hours, as well as have access to assisted self-checkout, a specific register for returns, and a designated order pickup area.

Aventura Mall, the chosen destination for the debut, is one of the largest shopping centers in Florida, featuring over 300 stores. In recent years, it has attracted luxury boutiques such as Prada and Dior, establishing itself as one of the premier shopping destinations in South Florida.

Bershka was founded in 1998 by the Inditex Group, the largest textile conglomerate in the world, whose creator is the businessman Amancio Ortega. The brand was initially aimed at young women and over time expanded its offering to become a benchmark for Generation Z, combining trendy fashion with affordable prices and a strong digital presence.

Inditex announced in December 2025 its intention to bring Bershka to physical retail in the United States during 2026, a move the company linked to the strong online sales performance of the brand in that market. The company chose Miami as a strategic entry point, likely due to its high concentration of young and Spanish-speaking population.

In addition to the Bershka store in Aventura Mall, Inditex is planning to open a second Bershka location in the Miami metropolitan area in the coming weeks.

The arrival of the chain follows the trail of other European affordable fashion brands that have invested in South Florida, such as Primark, which opened its store at Dolphin Mall in December 2025.
