The Cuban actress Tahimí Alvariño announced her return to Colombia through an emotional message on her social media, in which she described the reunion with Bogotá as a deeply meaningful experience for her.

"Being back in Colombia feels like coming home; the smells, the flavors, the cold, the rain, the friends, everything familiar returns and it brings a celebration to my soul," wrote the actress in her Facebook post.

In the same text, Alvariño expressed heartfelt words about the Colombian capital: "To return to familiar places, to walk your streets, your parks, your people, to find myself smiling just by looking at you, Bogotá of my loves. My beloved Colombia!"

The actress's connection to Colombia is not recent. Alvariño arrived in the South American country around 2010 for a project that was initially supposed to last three months but ended up extending to 13 months and eventually nearly a decade of continuous residence and work.

During those years, the actress built a solid career in Colombian television, with appearances in widely acclaimed regional productions such as Sin senos sí hay paraíso, Las muñecas de la mafia, El Bronx, La Reina de las Indias on Netflix, among others.

Colombia also holds a special place in her personal history: that is where her son Diego was born, the result of her 21-year relationship with the Cuban actor Bárbaro Marín.

On multiple occasions, Alvariño has stated that Colombia is his "second home", and this new return reaffirms that bond that goes far beyond the professional.

The actress, daughter of the renowned Cuban performer Coralita Veloz, has built a career spanning more than four decades, encompassing television, film, and theater both in Cuba and abroad. On the island, she starred in iconic telenovelas such as Destino prohibido and Rosas a crédito before making the leap to international fame.

Her presence in Bogotá has been documented on several occasions. In October 2023, she was photographed in the Colombian capital alongside colleagues such as Jacqueline Arenal and Camila Bordón.
