Heydy González turned 46 with a full heart and her social media buzzing. The Cuban actress and influencer celebrated her birthday with an emotional post on Instagram that featured photos from a professional shoot by a lake, dressed in an elegant long nude gown and holding a bouquet of white flowers, alongside her partner and her daughter Galilea.
"Today I celebrate life. I celebrate another year of memories, lessons, love, and moments that have shaped the woman I am," Heydy wrote on her Instagram account, where she garnered nearly 6,700 likes and over 230 comments.
But the post that caused the most commotion that day was not the one from the birthday girl, but from her best friend: Aly Sánchez.
The Cuban host and comedian shared a heartfelt letter hours in advance that many described as pure emotion. "Happy birthday to my best friend, my sister-in-spirit, my chosen family," began Aly's message, which received over 20,500 likes, more than triple the likes on Heydy's own post.
In her text, Aly recalled that they have known each other since she was 18, which adds up to more than two decades of friendship. "You were the first to hug me tightly when things weren't going well and the first to make me feel that I didn't have to go through the tough times alone," she wrote.
The photos that accompanied Aly's greeting told their own story: the two of them together on vacation by the water, at a gala with festive decorations, in selfies inside a car and in a luxury hotel, always with that complicity that only years of sharing can create.
"It doesn't matter where you are, in which country, or what is happening in your life… you are always there. And over the years, I understood that this is exactly what a true friend means: someone who stays," Aly added in her post.
The closing of the message circulated the most among the followers of both: "If I could go back to being 18 and choose again the people I want to take with me through life, I would choose you a thousand times over. I love you, sister. Happy birthday. And thank you for so many years of being home."
For her part, Heydy responded to such affection with the same warmth that defines her. "I come to this birthday with a grateful heart. Grateful for my family, for the people I love, for every sincere hug, for every shared smile, and for all those little things that ultimately turn out to be the biggest," she expressed.
The friendship between the two Cubans living in Miami is one of the most cherished in the community's entertainment scene. Last February, Heydy had to deny rumors of a rift between them, presenting a video call as proof that their bond remained as strong as ever.
And this birthday confirmed it once again. Heydy closed her post with a phrase that captured the spirit of the day: "May this new journey around the sun be filled with light, magic, and reasons to keep smiling."
