Tini Stoessel is going through one of the most challenging moments of her life, and it has nothing to do with her music or her upcoming wedding. The 29-year-old Argentine singer discovered, thanks to a private audit, that for 15 years she had no involvement or control over the companies that managed all the money generated by her career.
The scandal shaking international media points directly to her father, Alejandro Stoessel, who has been her representative and manager since she was just 14 years old. The audit revealed that all of Tini's income—from music, image rights, advertising contracts, and tours—was funneled through the firm QVT Management, based in the United States and registered in the names of Alejandro and his brother Francisco. Tini's name does not appear anywhere in that company.
Argentinian media estimate that the disputed assets amount to around 70 million dollars, although this figure has not been supported by public documentation. What has been revealed is that the Futttura Tour generated between 43 and 45 million dollars, of which the singer reportedly received only 300,000 dollars. Furthermore, her father is said to have signed future recording commitments from which Tini will not be able to obtain royalties or benefits.
But how did all of this come to light? The story has several triggers that seem straight out of a soap opera. The first incident occurred when Tini tried to buy a purse worth 2,500 dollars and her card was declined: she discovered that she had a monthly limit of 5,000 dollars set by her own family. Her partner, footballer Rodrigo De Paul, urged her to take a look at how her money was being managed.
The second reason was her father's refusal to release funds for Tini to purchase a property in Miami, arguing that "she already has her house in Buenos Aires." The third, the most explosive according to journalist Marcela Tauro: Alejandro Stoessel suggested that his daughter sign a prenuptial agreement regarding the separation of assets before the wedding. Tini flatly rejected it, hired an external manager, and that's when everything started to unravel.
It was only in June of this year, with the intervention of her lawyers, that the singer could access the only bank account in her name. Until then, she wasn’t even listed as authorized to handle money in the companies that profited from her image. About three months ago, Alejandro Stoessel was dismissed as her representative. According to journalist Gustavo Méndez from Canal Trece, the relationship between father and daughter is now "nonexistent," and Tini reportedly did not invite them to her wedding with Rodrigo De Paul, which is set for December.
From Alejandro Stoessel's circle, they deny that there is a family conflict and describe everything as a voluntary asset reorganization prior to the wedding, attributing rumors of an internal feud to "misinterpretations." Tini, for her part, has not made any public statements and so far, no formal lawsuit has been filed.
The case has been compared by various media outlets to that of Britney Spears, who came under the guardianship of her father Jamie Spears in 2008 and did not regain control of her own life until 2021, after years of public litigation that shocked the world.
