The dollar is rising again this Wednesday in the informal exchange market in Cuba and is getting closer to the 700 pesos barrier.
At 10:00 a.m. local Cuban time, places the US dollar at 687 Cuban pesos (CUP), three pesos more than the previous day.
The dollar continues to rise
The United States dollar (USD) is trading this Wednesday at 687 CUP, compared to 684 CUP from the previous day.
Seven days ago, it was at 678 CUP, so it has increased by nine pesos in a week. Compared to 30 days ago, when it was at 673 CUP, the rise is 14 pesos.
Exchange Rate Evolution
The value this Wednesday is also the highest recorded by the dollar in the last 30 days, a period during which it fell to as low as 663 CUP.
The euro remains stable
The euro (EUR) remains this Wednesday at 778 CUP, unchanged from the previous day.
Seven days ago, it was at 770 CUP, so it has increased by 7.5 pesos in a week. Thirty days ago, it was quoted at 776 CUP.
Over the past month, the euro has fluctuated between a low of 746 CUP and a high of 780 CUP.
The MLC
The MLC (Freely Convertible Currency) appears this Wednesday around 462 CUP.
The day before, it was reported at 417 CUP, so the difference is significant, but the lack of data prevents us from confirming that it is a solid trend.
Seven days ago, the MLC was at 464 CUP, and thirty days ago it was at 458 CUP.
