The Cuban influencer Samantha Hernández may be one step closer to fulfilling one of her greatest dreams: working at Telemundo. On her social media, the young woman shared an emotional video documenting, step by step, the entire casting process that has placed her among the six finalists to become a digital content creator for the network.

The video, posted on their Instagram account, had garnered over 34,700 likes within a few hours at the time of this report, overflowing with affectionate comments and support from their community.

It all started at the end of August when Samantha received a WhatsApp message that sent her into tears. "I just opened WhatsApp and I have a message that I'm going to have a job interview to work at Telemundo. I can't believe it, I'm crying. I'm so happy," she shared through tears in the video.

What followed was a week of heightened emotions. On August 28, she recorded and sent two videos simulating the type of content they requested. Then came the virtual interview on September 1, for which she prepared thoroughly: she wore white, did her makeup, straightened her hair, and even put on perfume. "I know they won't be able to smell me, but I don't care," she joked with her characteristic ease.

His explanation for the white look was quite Samantha: "When you wear white, you bring harmony, you bring success, you bring blessings."

After that virtual interview, the young woman confirmed the great news: "We are among the six finalists of this casting from Telemundo for content creator, meaning for digital content on social media." She added a detail that filled the Cuban community with pride: "I was the only Cuban, so it’s like, bro. Cubans are everywhere."

Now the next challenge awaits: an in-person interview with the network, which will determine if the dream comes true.

Samantha arrived in Miami in June 2024 through the humanitarian parole program and has since built a strong presence on social media. In August of this year, sheappeared as a model in the music video "La Foto" by El Shadow alongside Nicky Jam, and her community has continued to grow.

His followers quickly flooded the post with messages. One of the comments that received the most reactions was from Dany Ome, a close friend of Samantha: "You deserve everything in this life, babe. I have been there with you since the beginning and I know every sacrifice you’ve made."

Another user recalled something Samantha had said in a previous interview: that she wanted to be recognized for her talent and her work, not for being anyone's girlfriend. "Honestly, we're seeing that she achieved it," wrote @maylen_espinosa1511.

Samantha herself summed up her story with the message accompanying the video: "You just have to believe in yourself and fight for what you want; the rest is background noise." She concluded the video with a promise to her followers: "Today is the day, beautiful things are coming. A reminder that if you work for it, you will do it, you will achieve it, I promise you."
