The Cuban actor and comedian Luis Silva, known for bringing the character Pánfilo to life in Vivir del Cuento, celebrated his eldest son's birthday this Saturday with an emotional message on Facebook: «It's the birthday of the little one in the house. He is still the little one.»
Luis Daniel Silva Martínez, known as Luis Jr., turned 23 years old on September 19, and his father celebrated by sharing a series of photographs that capture various moments of family life and his son's growth.
Silva has been living in Miami with his family since the end of December 2024, when he immigrated to the United States along with his wife, Yarisley Martínez Fernández, and their two children, Luis Jr. and Pilar.
From southern Florida, the comedian has maintained an active presence on social media and continues to be associated with the character that made him famous in Cuba.
Publicly celebrating the birthday of his eldest son is a tradition that Silva has maintained for years. In 2023, when Luis Jr. turned 20, the actor wrote: "Twenty years ago he came to us," and in 2022, upon turning 19, he congratulated him with the message "even as he grows up."
In August, Silva also celebrated 24 years of marriage to Yarisley, a couple who met at the University of Havana, where they both studied.
The photographs from Luis Jr.'s birthday reflect the life that the Silva family has built in exile: everyday and festive moments that the popular comedian shares with his followers, maintaining the same affectionate and approachable tone that has always characterized him.
