The Cuban model Legna Blanco walked the runway at Paris Fashion Week, during its Spring/Summer 2027 edition, which took place from September 28 to October 6, 2026.

The young woman, as indicated by Diario de Las Américas, is originally from Güines, a municipality in the province of Mayabeque.

Blanco is represented by Next Management Paris, a global agency based on Boulevard de la Madeleine with a presence in New York, Milan, London, Madrid, Los Angeles, and Miami.

In her profile, she is listed in the "New Face" category, indicating that her international career is just beginning, yet she is already making her way in the most competitive fashion circuits worldwide. She is also represented by NUantillas Models.

The journey from Güines to the Paris runways places Blanco among a generation of Cuban models striving to make their mark beyond the island.

In February 2026, Jhayna Duarte became the face of the Chanel campaign, a milestone for the presence of Cuban talent in international fashion.

In September, Rachel Chang, Miss International Cuba 2026, walked the runway at New York Fashion Week for several brands.

The contrast with modeling conditions in Cuba could not be more striking. As revealed in April by the model Ana Maura, known as "Azúcar Morena," local fashion shows paid barely 75 Cuban pesos —less than 15 cents— with delays of two to three months in payment, while working with foreign clients can yield between 100 and 400 dollars.

"The lowest-paid jobs are fashion shows," stated Ana Maura, whose testimony illustrates why so many Cuban talents seek to break through beyond the island's borders.

Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2027 featured 68 runway shows and 33 presentations, organized by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, with brands such as Christian Dior, Balmain, Stella McCartney, Chloé, and Polo Ralph Lauren among the participants.
