The Cuban reggaeton artist Velito El Bufón and his girlfriend Paula Martínez celebrated their first anniversary together with an emotional album of professional photographs published on Instagram, where the couple posed in various corners of Madrid as the backdrop.
It was Paula who took the initiative on social media to celebrate the occasion, sharing five images signed by photographer @karllaphotography that garnered over 25,700 "likes" and 376 comments in just a few hours.
In the post, the Spanish cabin crew member shared an emotional message for the artist: "A year with you, and I still feel like it was just yesterday when our lives decided to meet. Thank you for every moment, for the laughter, for the good days, and also for those that taught us lessons. I would choose you over and over again. Happy first anniversary, my love. May this be just the beginning of all the beautiful moments we have yet to experience. I love you."
Velito, whose real name is Dariel Gutiérrez Pérez, quickly responded in the comments with a message that blended affection with Cuban slang: “Congratulations my girl, I love you so much my queen, you are my fula.”
The photographs, taken at iconic locations in the Spanish capital, show the couple kissing, walking hand in hand in front of the Prado Museum, and crossing a crosswalk on Gran Vía, in a session that reflects the bond they have built throughout this year.
Paula's message places the beginning of the relationship in October 2025, although the couple did not appear publicly until March 2026, when they were seen together in Spain during the artist's European tour. It was on April 13, 2026, when Velito officially announced the romance on social media, weeks after his breakup with his ex-partner Thalía was announced.
Since then, the couple has made numerous joint appearances: a yacht ride in June, trips to Cuba in July, a family getaway in September, and just days before the anniversary, new photos together on Madrid's Gran Vía, in front of the Carrión Building.
Paula, who opened her Instagram profile to the public in August and quickly surpassed 30,000 followers, has also had to deal with criticism on social media, to which she publicly responded at the end of September.
The couple arrives at their first anniversary with a strong relationship and a vibrant presence on social media, and Paula made it clear what her wish for the future is: "May this be just the beginning of all the beautiful experiences that await us."
