A person dressed as a bunny briefly became the star of a 15th birthday party held in Coa, Cuba, thanks to a funny dance that went viral on TikTok.

The video, posted by the account @peluyina7, identified as "Peluyina," shows how the character—wearing a large plush head, blue eyes, a pink nose, and a red ruffled dress—becomes the center of attention as they start dancing reguetón with moves that astonish those present.

At the beginning, the birthday girl, dressed in an elegant sage green outfit with embossed floral embroidery, a silver tiara, and a white floral accessory on her wrist, watches in surprise the movements of the rabbit.

However, the scene takes an unexpected turn: far from standing aside, the young woman ends up joining the dance alongside other guests, all moving to the rhythm of the music in an outdoor hall with a rustic wooden ceiling, surrounded by tropical vegetation.

The overlay text on the video humorously summarizes the situation: "When the bunny loves to be the center of attention." The author of the post also joked that the character always enjoys stealing the spotlight and accompanied the video with the hashtag #repartocubano, referring to a music and dance style that is very popular in Cuba.

The video, which lasts only 49 seconds, had accumulated over 93,100 views, nearly 5,900 likes, and more than 440 shares, figures that reflect its spread on TikTok.

Costumes also take center stage in viral moments during Cuban celebrations

Surprises with costumed characters have starred in other viral videos of family celebrations in Cuba. In April of this year, a Cuban father surprised his daughter during her 15th birthday party dressed as Stitch, in a scene that also moved TikTok users.

In another case, which occurred in June, a family member dressed up as a rabbit to surprise their mother during a celebration, resulting in an emotional reunion.

Unlike those stories where costumes were used to surprise family members, the video of the Coa bunny stands out for its humorous character. The character dances with such energy that it ends up capturing the attention of the attendees. The identity of the person in the costume has not been confirmed, nor has it been established whether they were hired to entertain the party.

Quinceañera parties have also left behind other surprising scenes that have gone viral in Cuba, with celebrations where family members and guests experience unexpected moments.

In this instance, the most entertaining part of the video is that the birthday girl, instead of just watching, ends up dancing alongside the bunny, turning the unexpected performance into one of the most striking moments of the celebration.
