Little Havana in Miami is getting ready for a street party featuring Cuban music, dancing, and dominoes. On Thursday, October 15, the restaurant Old's Havana will celebrate its ten-year anniversary on Calle Ocho with A Night in Havana Block Party, a free entry event scheduled from 6:00 to 10:00 in the evening.
The celebration will take place in the surroundings of Domino Park, also known as Máximo Gómez Park, one of the most iconic meeting points for the Cuban community in Miami. The event is featured both in the organizer's program and in the official tourism agenda of Miami and Miami Beach.
Live music, dominoes, and Cuban traditions
The announced program includes a live Latin music band, a DJ, dancers, domino games, and demonstrations by cigar rollers. There will also be booths offering Cuban food and cocktails, in an event designed to celebrate the establishment's anniversary alongside neighbors and visitors to the neighborhood.
One of the announced attractions is a complimentary mojito upon registration. The Old’s Havana website offers a registration for zero dollars under the name "Free Mojito," which allows you to redeem the drink at the event entrance booth, with a limit of one mojito per person. Free access does not mean that the rest of the food or drinks are free.
Where and at what time will the party be?
The event is scheduled for October 15, 2026, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. (Miami time), at the Domino Park area, at the corner of Calle Ocho (SW 8th Street) and Southwest 15th Avenue (SW 15th Avenue).
The organizer indicates as a reference 1444 SW 8th Street, Miami, FL 33135, an address that also appears for the park in the Miami City Hall directory. Meanwhile, the tourist guide uses 801 SW 15th Avenue to identify this same space, located at the intersection of both roads.
Those who wish to obtain the promotional mojito can check the conditions and register on the official event page. The announcement does not specify that registration is mandatory to enter the celebration, which is presented as a free-access activity.
