The case was reported by local media in Quintana Roo, including Quinta Fuerza, which identified the group as an alleged cell involved in drug dealing and indicated that they also allegedly handled counterfeit money.

The Attorney General's Office (FGE) of Quintana Roo identified those arrested as Yanisleidis "N", 21 years old; José Antonio "N", 44; Deivys "N", 42; Bryan "N", 28; and Yandry "N", also 42 years old.

The authorities opened a case file for their probable involvement in health-related crimes, specifically in the form of drug dealing.

How did the arrest take place and what did the agents find?

The arrest took place during the operation Blindaje Cancún, in which the Municipal Police, the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena), the Secretariat of the Navy (Semar), the National Guard, and the Attorney General's Office of the State of Quintana Roo participated.

According to the State Attorney General's Office (FGE), cited by Quinta Fuerza, agents observed five individuals who were allegedly exchanging transparent plastic bags containing green plant material resembling marijuana near the El Parián market.

After the police intervention, the agents seized green and dry herb with characteristics similar to marijuana, a granular substance resembling crystal (methamphetamine), a .45 caliber handgun with three cartridges, and several cell phones.

They also found 8,600 Mexican pesos in bills of various denominations, allegedly counterfeit.

The authenticity of the money must be determined through the appropriate expert evaluations.

Among the insured vehicles are a gray Chrysler 200, inside of which more dry grass was found, and a black Hero MotoCorp Hunk 160R motorcycle, with no license plates.

The five detained individuals, along with the seized items and vehicles, were placed at the disposal of the judicial authority, responsible for continuing the investigations and determining their legal status.
