Osmani García announced this Thursday his participation in a new song for the freedom of Cuba driven by Willy Chirino, a musical project that has also been joined by El Chacal.
"Lanother anthem arrives, created by this legendary genius to unite the voices of great human beings. It's an honor to be part of something so special!" wrote the reggaeton artist in a video shared on Instagram, where he thanked the renowned Cuban singer-songwriter for the invitation to be part of the initiative.
In the images, Osmani is seen with Chirino and hints that the artist will provide more details about the collaboration "in a few days." So far, the title of the song and its release date have not been disclosed.
During the meeting, García also delivered a powerful message against dictators and reiterated the call for military intervention in Cuba, asserting the urgency of taking action given the situation affecting the population, especially the children.
The initiative brings together Cuban artists from different generations and musical styles, united by the goal of sending a message in favor of freedom for the Island.
One day earlier, Emilio Frías, leader of El Niño y La Verdad, and singer-songwriter Amaury Gutiérrez had also announced their participation in the project after meeting with Willy Chirino in Miami.
Frías described the initiative as "a song for Cuba and its Freedom, a strong but necessary message," while Gutiérrez stated that it is "something very beautiful" and called it "an honor and privilege" to work alongside the performer of "Nuestro día ya viene llegando."
It is not the first time that Willy Chirino, Osmani García, and El Chacal have joined their voices for a cause related to Cuba. In 2021, the three participated, along with others, in "Let Them Go Now", a song that emerged following the historic protests on July 11th on the Island.
Now, the artists are coming together again in a musical initiative aimed at conveying a message of freedom for the Cubans, though we will still have to wait to see how this new collaboration will sound.
