Teresa María Padrón, who was the manager and close friend of the Cuban reggaeton artist El Taiger, shared an emotional video with the artist this Thursday that a fan had sent her, which she had never seen before.
The 33-second recording shows Teresa and the singer leaving what appears to be an airport together, while several fans waited outside. The footage captures a shared moment between the two that has gained special significance for her following the reggaeton singer's death.
It was a fan named Milaida who kept the video and decided to send it to Teresa, who could not hide her excitement upon discovering those images for the first time.
"Today, for the first time, I see this video. Wow, what a powerful feeling. Thank you to Milaida for sharing it with me. Always José," wrote Padrón alongside the post, which was accompanied by the hashtags #JusticeForJosé and #ElTaiger.
In the background, a song by the artist plays, featuring particularly poignant lyrics: "There will be no goodbye, no message, no call / You gave me your life, and in return, I gave you nothing."
El Taiger, whose real name was José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar, passed away on October 10, 2024 at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, at the age of 37, after having been shot in the head days earlier.
Since his passing, Teresa Padrón has kept the memory of the singer alive through various tributes and initiatives. Among them, she has taken responsibility for caring for and renewing the memorial dedicated to El Taiger in Miami, where his fans continue to remember him.
He also arranged the transfer of his remains to Cuba and, in August of this year, spearheaded the renovation of the artist's family chapel at the Cristóbal Colón Cemetery in Havana, where painting and roof repair work was carried out.
Meanwhile, the legal process regarding the death of the reggaeton artist is still ongoing. Damián Valdez Galloso, accused of first-degree murder and other related crimes, has pleaded not guilty. The trial, initially scheduled for September 2026, has been postponed and is now projected for February or March 2027, according to available information.
The next follow-up hearing is scheduled for November 10, 2026.
