«Everyone who leaves your life...». A reflection on romantic breakups is generating chatter on TikTok. The protagonist is content creator Mr Lopez (@mrlopez1988), who shared a powerful message about the individuals who choose to end a romantic relationship and the reasons that, in his view, lead them to make that decision.
In the video shared on TikTok, which lasts only 59 seconds, the creator claims that those who leave a relationship do so because they believe they will find something better.
"Everyone who leaves a stable relationship to start something new does so with the same perception in their mind that they are heading to a better place with a better person for a better life," she states.
However, one of his most striking statements comes when he questions the idea that someone could end a relationship out of love for the other person or to allow them to find happiness.
"Nobody leaves because they love you and want you to be happy with the person you deserve; that's a fairy tale," Mr. Lopez insists.
The creator goes even further, arguing that behind that decision lies a comparison with an idealized partner: "In simpler terms, because they are comparing you in their mind to their imaginary person, to whom you don't resemble at all."
But his reflection doesn't stop there. Mr. Lopez also leaves a message for those who have experienced a breakup and are left waiting for the return of someone who chose to leave.
"Anyone who wants to find someone better than you has every right to do so, but you should hold within yourself the understanding that those who leave your life do not deserve to return ever again," she stated.
The creator's words open a debate on the reasons why a person decides to end a relationship and on the importance of recognizing when it's time to close a chapter.
A matter that also ties into reflections such as those of psychologist Fran Sánchez, who warned about the sacrifices that are sometimes made to maintain a relationship.
And you, do you agree with his reflection? Do you think that someone who leaves a relationship always believes they will find something better, or are there other reasons for ending things with someone?
