The Cuban reggaeton artist Kevincito El 13 has been unable to walk for approximately a month, as revealed by his colleague Dany Ome in a video posted on Instagram this Wednesday, where both artists broke the silence about a medical situation they had kept private.
"We hadn't shared anything publicly, but we believe it's time to explain what has been happening," wrote Dany Ome alongside the video in which Kevincito appears visibly affected and mentions that the doctor initially indicated it would be a "minimally invasive" surgical procedure, but the situation became complicated.
The reggaeton artist did not provide details about the surgery he underwent on his leg. He stated that only the doctors understand that terminology, but he assured that the recovery is going very well.
An Instagram story from Kevincito himself shows the artist in a wheelchair with one leg bandaged, accompanied by Dany Ome outside what appears to be a medical center in the United States.

"The reality is that Kevin has been unable to walk for a month, and that’s why we’ve had to face these days differently," explained Dany Ome, who clarified that several fans had seen him alone on the street and started speculating about a possible breakup of the duo.
The injury forced the artists to cancel or postpone several commitments from their Tendencia US Tour 2026, a tour that included dates in Orlando, Louisville, New York, Houston, and Tampa, among other cities.
The only concert that remains scheduled is on November 8 at Hard Rock Live, in Hollywood, Florida.
Dany Ome was unequivocal about the immediate future: "We will not do any more concerts until my brother is well."
Both addressed the separation rumors that circulated on social media during the weeks when Kevincito was absent from the public scene. "The only way we would separate is if one of us dies, and even then we will continue to love each other no matter what," stated Dany Ome.
Kevincito posted an Instagram story thanking those who have supported him: "Thank you to everyone who has shown concern. Thank God everything turned out well."
The duo, based in Miami, is experiencing one of its most significant moments of international exposure. In April 2026, they released "Paciente" alongside Ozuna, and in September, they collaborated with Wisin on "Extrañarte más", solidifying their presence in the Latin American reggaeton scene.
“Health always comes first, and family too. This is just another battle that we will overcome together, as we always have,” concluded Dany Ome.
