The White House published a photograph of Donald Trump this Wednesday, November 4, with a message in capital letters: "Public Interest Notice: Trump is still your president." The post came after the midterm elections on Tuesday, which resulted in significant defeats for the Republican Party and a Democratic advance in the United States Congress.
The image, shared on the Facebook account of the White House, shows the president leaning over a desk, with both hands resting on the surface. The original text says, "PSA: Trump is still your president." Alongside the photograph, the account added another phrase: "Thank you for your attention to this matter."
The farewell coincides with a phrase used by Trump himself in his posts. On election night, the president stated on Truth Social that the Republicans would have won "by a landslide" if he had been on the ballot. However, during the campaign, he had urged his supporters to vote as if he were a candidate, a contradiction reported in CiberCuba's coverage.
The message comes after the Democratic advances
The electoral projections released after the elections on November 3 indicate that the Democrats regain control of the Senate and also secure the majority in the House of Representatives. Recounts and official certifications must be completed in the races that still do not have a definitive outcome. The data from Florida, Miami, and the rest of the country can be followed in the .
The legislative elections do not affect the presidency: Trump retains his mandate, which is set to last until January 20, 2029. The new Congressional majorities will take office in January 2027 and will be able to exert greater legislative and oversight checks on his Administration.
The Facebook message is not the only statement of this kind from the presidential environment. Steven Cheung, director of Communications at the White House, also wrote on X: "Donald J. Trump is the President of the United States. He is still your president!", a statement reported this Wednesday by The Independent.
