Luis Robert Moirán is a professional baseball player from Cuba who plays as an Outfielder for the Chicago White Sox. He bats and throws right-handed, measuring 188 cm and weighing 95 kg. He was born on August 3, 1997, in Ciego de Ávila, Cuba

In 2019, he became the sensation of the Minor Leagues after a historic breakout at the Triple-A level with the Charlotte Knights. Tom Haberstroh, an NBA journalist based in Charlotte, posted on his Twitter account that the Cuban was the biggest emerging star in the city of Charlotte since Kemba Walker. A leading contender for Rookie of the Year in the 2020 Major League season, his five tools dazzled in the National Series and led him to don the Cuba team jersey before turning 20.

Very shortly after, in November 2016, he emigrated to the United States and was quickly signed by the White Sox, who watched him develop until he achieved the 30/30 milestone in the Minor Leagues in 2019. This ultimately propelled him to the highest level, where he made his debut this season after signing a six-year, 50 million dollar contract.

Once the first nine scheduled matches were settled, his candidacy had gained strength thanks to an OPS of .979, complemented by five extra-base hits and six runs batted in.
