Luis Robert Moirán is a professional Cuban baseball player who plays as an outfielder for the Chicago White Sox. He bats and throws right-handed, standing 188 cm tall and weighing 95 kg. He was born on August 3, 1997, in Ciego de Ávila, Cuba

In 2019, he became the sensation of the Minor Leagues after a historic breakout at the Triple-A level with the Charlotte Knights. Tom Haberstroh, an NBA journalist based in Charlotte, tweeted that the Cuban was the biggest emerging star in the city since Kemba Walker. A leading candidate for Rookie of the Year in the 2020 Major League season, his five-tool skills dazzled in the National Series and led him to don the Cuba jersey before turning 20.

Very shortly after, in November 2016, he emigrated to the United States and was quickly acquired by the White Sox, who saw him develop until he achieved the 30/30 milestone in 2019 in the Minor Leagues. This ultimately catapulted him to the highest level, where he made his debut this season after signing a six-year, $50 million contract.

Once the first nine matches of the schedule were resolved, his candidacy had gained momentum thanks to an OPS of .979, complemented by five extra-base hits and six runs batted in.
