
Yuliet Cruz Delgado is a Cuban presenter and actress in film, theater, and television, born on October 1, 1980, in Havana, Cuba. She graduated in Acting from the Higher Institute of Art (ISA).
A familiar face on Cuban television for having hosted the popular music program Piso 6 for ten years (2003-2013), Yuliet has also worked in dramatizations and acclaimed Cuban films, earning awards and recognition, establishing herself as one of the best actresses of her generation.
In cinema, we have been able to see her in Tres veces dos (2003, Dir: Esteban Insausti), Habana Blues (2004, Dir: Benito Zambrano), Un té en la Habana (2007, Dir: Fina Torres), Conducta (2014, Dir: Ernesto Daranas), Esteban (2014, Dir: Jonal Cosculluela), and Sergio y Serguei (2016, Dir: Ernesto Daranas), among others.
He made his television debut in "Contigo pan y cebolla," directed by Héctor Quintero, which also marked his stage debut. He appeared in the controversial telenovela addressing HIV-AIDS, "La cara oculta de la luna" (2006), and starred in "Lo importante es amar" and "Apuntaladas," both in 2009, among other titles.
She has received numerous awards and recognitions, including the Adolfo Llauradó Award in 2004 and 2009, the Adria Santana Honorary Theater Award in 2012, the Mariposa Award in 2013 for Best Actress for her work in theater, film, and television, the Caricato Award in 2013 for Best Female Performance in theater for the play "Fíchenla si pueden," the ACE Critics' Award at the New York Latino Film Festival for Best Supporting Actress for "La Película de Ana," and the award for Best Female Performance in theater for the play "Mecánica" in 2015.
In October 2020, the launch of a new program on Cuban television called La Banda Gigante was announced. It is a talent competition hosted by Yuliet Cruz and Carlos Enrique Almirante.
Yuliet is married to the popular singer and songwriter Leoni Torres, with whom she has two children.
