Delicious Cuban recipe. Rich and easy to make. Ideal for a romantic dinner because it is said to be very aphrodisiac.
  • 1 kilogram of shrimp
  • ½ cup of oil
  • 1 onion
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • 1 large chili
  • ½ cup parsley
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup bell peppers
  • ½ cup dry wine
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup of dry wine
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
Clean the shrimp by removing the head, the shell and making a longitudinal cut to remove the intestine. Reserve them in a container and add salt, pepper and lemon juice. In a large saucepan, add the oil and sauté the crushed garlic, the onion cut into small pieces and the peppers, also cut to your liking. When the onion begins to turn transparent and the garlic is golden, add the tomato sauce, chili pepper, bay leaf and dry wine. Stir well and let it boil for approximately 3 minutes over medium heat. The sauce will begin to thicken, add the shrimp and mix well. Cover them and let them cook for five minutes. Add the finely chopped parsley, add a touch of sugar to balance the acidity of the tomato, stir and let the sauce dry a little more to your liking. When you are going to serve them, remember to remove the bay leaf, it is very unpleasant to find in the mouth.
