The Electrical Union (UNE) of Cuba predicted a day of few blackouts for this Friday, with an impact on the service of 46 MW due to a generation deficit.
As reported by the entity on its wallFacebook, power outages will occur only during peak hours.
Regarding daytime hours, the availability of the National Electroenergy System (SEN) at 07:00 hours was 2,710 MW and the demand was 2,460 MW, so no blackouts are expected.
In the hours of greatest demand, an availability of 3024 MW and a maximum demand of 3000 MW is estimated, for a reserve of 24 MW. If the expected conditions are maintained, there is a probability of affecting the 46 MW service.
For the peak, the input of unit 2 of the Robustiano León hydroelectric plant is estimated with 14 MW, the input of unit 5 of the CTE Nuevitas with 80 MW, the recovery of 50 MW that are out due to fuel and the input of 170 MW in the engines of distributed generation.
At this time, two units of the Nuevitas and Felton thermoelectric plants are out of service due to breakdowns.
In addition, three blocks of the CTE Renté are under maintenance.
The UNE added that on Thursday the service was not affected due to a generation deficit, something that several users denied in the post.
"Half the country without electricity yesterday and they have the guts to publish that it was not affected by a generation deficit, because of things like this the people distrust official news more and more every day. Respect!", demanded a Havana woman.
On Thursday, thecompany predicted blackouts for rush hour, after days announcing normality in the service, just when the second anniversary of the historic 11J protests in Cuba was marking.
"For the peak hour, an availability of 2,854 MW and a maximum demand of 3,000 MW is estimated, for a deficit of 146 MW, so an impact on the service of 216 MW is estimated during this time," it detailed in its networks.
For himWednesday, July 12, power outages were not predicted either, and that was the sixth day without foreseeing effects due to a generation deficit, although on the company's own social networks several users denied it, alleging that they did suffer blackouts in their areas of residence.
