A coachman was assaulted in the Guantánamo municipality by aman who stripped him of his vehicle and his horse.
The incident occurred on the night of September 30. The victim, identified asAlioska Wilson Mendoza, is a self-employed person who is dedicated to the transportation of people in rural areas.
According to the profile ofFacebook Geo Cobas, linked to the Ministry of the Interior (MININT) in the eastern province, after Alioska made the complaint, thePolice caught the thief in less than two hours.
"With the collaboration of the victim, an immediate search for the stolen car and horse was carried out, as well as the identification of the perpetrator," the note details.
"About an hour and a half after learning of the crime,The horse and carriage were used on public roads but in different places. At the same time, the perpetrator of the incident was captured in public, who is detained and is being prosecuted for the crime of robbery with violence," he adds.
As is customary in Cuba when the police capture a criminal and the victim of a robbery recovers his belongings, also in this case the authorities held a public event with the presence of neighbors, to give the victim his car and his horse. .
The coachman, for his part, thanked the PNR officers for their quick action.

The three perpetrators of the murder were captured days later, sources linked to the MININT reported.
The detainees, aged 32, 45 and 27, admitted having murdered Díaz Yera to steal his horse. During the search of the house of one of them, objects linked to the crime were obtained, as well as parts and pieces of the cart owned by the victim.
