The Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) confirmed this Tuesday three active cases of coronavirus on the island.
In a part which includes the incidents from the week of December 16 to 22, 2023, the entity said that in the last week three cases were detected in women, all of them Las Tunas, who remain hospitalized due to Covid-19.
The figure increases to one million 115 thousand 175 diagnosed patients with the disease, of which there are officially 8,530 deaths since the start of the pandemic in 2020.
"During the week there was one discharge, accumulating 1,106,581. No serious or confirmed critical patients were reported in the country's Intensive Care Units," the report states.
Of the three patients, one is under 20 years old and the other two are in the age group of 20 to 39 years.
In the week analyzed, 339 samples were analyzed for epidemiological control, said the MINSAP.
