Images from the province of Cienfuegos published this Friday by Cuban journalist Mario J. Pentón show the transportation of beef bones for human consumption in a garbage container.
In the midst of the general crisis in Cuba, where access to quality food is difficult, Cubans criticize that hygiene is not taken care of in the transportation and storage of food.
The journalist stated on his website Facebook that the meat from those bones was destined to feed the leaders of the provincial popular power.
He also recalled that they told the deposed Minister of Economy Alejandro Gil that "Our Party and Government have never allowed, nor will they ever allow, the proliferation of corruption, simulation and insensitivity."
Last year, Havana authorities sent him to prison. warehouse manager 1163, from the 10 de Octubre municipality, for transferring in a garbage collection truck a batch of boxes of chicken that would be sold to the population.
The man was then facing an accusation of spreading epidemics, a crime that can be punished with up to eight years in prison, according to the current Penal Code.
In the midst of the food crisis in Cuba, the island's inhabitants can do endless queues to buy bones that the regime sells to the population.
Many wonder where the meat that covered them is, but the authorities do not offer those answers.
