"I am wounded" and other Cuban expressions to say that you are hungry.

The reactions on TikTok did not take long to appear.


The charismatic Cuban TikToker, Alejandro Buján, shared a video on the network in which he referred to some of the ingenious ways in which Cubans express that they are hungry.

Buján, known for his content on the peculiarities of Spanish spoken on the island, shared with his followers a series of expressions that demonstrate the linguistic richness of Cuban popular speech.

"I'm so hungry I can't see", "I'm feeling down", "I'm hurt but not from a bullet", "I'm spaced out", "I have my stomach sticking to my spine", "I'm broke", and "I'm turning my back to the pot", were some of the phrases he chose.

The video, posted on her TikTok account, generated hundreds of hearts and comments from her followers who did not hesitate to respond to her question about which ones she had missed including.

"You missed: I'm broke; I'm out of luck; I'm broke as a breadbox; I'm broke; I'm starving; I'm hungrier than a flea on a plastic dog; I'm out of luck or I'm done for," were some of the contributions left in the comments on the video.
