Driver injured and car destroyed in accident at the Monumental in Havana

The front part of a Lada car was completely wrecked after being involved in an accident on the National Highway of Cuba.

During a heavy rain in the Cuban capital, the car was practically destroyed in the middle of the main highway on the Island.

Monumental between the Cotorro and Autopista bridges, the Lada invaded the opposite lane," internet user Osiel Arencibia Santana wrote when sharing a video of the incident in the Facebook group "Car Accidents in Cuba."

In the comments, a user pointed out that the driver of the Lada is his friend and that he is hospitalized at Calixto García Hospital, although he did not provide further details about his health condition.

Last Tuesday, a Yutong bus from the Viazul company overturned on a road in Camagüey, where fortunately there were no fatalities.

The incident occurred in the afternoon, 3 kilometers from the municipality of Sibanicú.

Another accident that occurred this week involved a hearse falling into the Damují River in Rodas, Cienfuegos.

Fortunately, he was not carrying any coffins and the driver was rescued by a person who happened to be passing by.
