The tragic accident occurred in the early hours of Sunday.

Kinley Expósito, a Cuban who passed away in an accident that occurred in the early morning of Sunday in the Boyeros municipality of Havana, was laid to rest this week in his hometown of Arroyo Blanco, Jatibonico, Sancti Spíritus, with an emotional procession of tricycles, known in that region of the country as "riquimbilis."

A video posted on Facebook by the content creator and childhood friend of the victim, Alexander Ríos Cruz, showed the solemn parade of vehicles in the small town.

Although this kind of tribute is common among motorcyclists or truck drivers, it is noteworthy in this case that it involves tricycles and the slow pace of the vehicles in respectful procession.

Behind the parade of tricycles, the hearse carrying the deceased's mortal remains proceeded, accompanied by a group of friends, neighbors, and family of the victim.

"E.P.D., brother, we will always remember you. Your joy, your charisma, and your memories will stay with all of us.", wrote Alexander Ríos alongside the images.

The tragic accident

The accident occurred in the early hours of last Sunday, when Kinley Expósito collided with a Yutong bus from behind in the Boyeros municipality of Havana.

The incident is said to have occurred on 100th Street, past the Calabazar bridge, in front of the military buildings, an area noted by some locals as particularly dangerous.

According to reports on social media, Expósito may have fallen asleep while driving the vehicle, which led to the tragic accident.

The news sparked a wave of sadness and solidarity among those who knew the Cuban who passed away, dearly loved in his hometown of Arroyo Blanco.
