A man was arrested this Monday in Cienfuegos after being accused by activists and neighbors of committing sexual abuse and murder against animals.
In his home, what the reporters described as a "graveyard" was found, containing dozens of corpses of dogs, cats, and other species.

"Today, three lives were saved, but there are many more that did not share the same fate," expressed Hernández, who also urged the public not to remain silent in the face of similar cases.
The activist Yenney Caballero also spoke out on social media following the arrest of the accused.
"Today we won this battle," he stated, confirming that they managed to rescue three animals that, he mentioned, "were going to be the next victims."
The activist thanked everyone who participated in the rescue, helped in the transfer of the animals to the "Mila & Luna" shelter, and spread the awareness on social media.
He also acknowledged the work of the authorities in Cienfuegos and requested that the accused be permanently removed from the streets.
Caballero lamented that two dogs, one black and the other white, were no longer at the home: “they lost their lives in your hands,” he wrote.
