A viral video on TikTok shows the emotional reunion of a young Cuban with his parents after almost four years apart. The scene moves thousands, reflecting the tragedy of families divided by migration.

A young Cuban had a touching reunion with his parents after three years and nine months apart, in a moment that has moved thousands of users on social media.

The video, posted on TikTok by the user @brayanhastyjardines, shows the moment the young man arrives in a car at his neighborhood in Cuba and calls his mother on the phone.

With an emotional voice, she asks him, "Do you want to see me?" Hearing her mother's "yes," he responds with a phrase that brings forth tears: "Then come down."

Immediately afterwards, the young man gets out of the car and runs towards his parents, who welcome him with hugs, tears, and laughter. The emotion of their reunion reflects the everyday drama of thousands of Cuban families separated by migration.

"After 3 years and 9 months, I returned to Cuba as a surprise," wrote the protagonist of the video, which quickly went viral due to the sincerity of the moment.

In the images, the young man can be seen hugging his mother and father in front of a modest house, with a gray car parked alongside the rural road.

The cries and joy of the three reflect the blend of nostalgia, love, and sacrifice that accompanies the lives of Cubans both on the island and abroad.

Thousands of internet users left comments of support and emotion, relating to the story. “Only those who have had to leave know what it feels like to return and embrace your loved ones,” wrote one user.
