A TikTok video is melting hearts: a girl reunites with her dad after six years of not seeing him, and the moment couldn't be more emotional. The scene was shared by user @imaray_valeria, a Cuban resident in Spain, who wrote: "What better birthday gift for my daughter than seeing her dad after six years?"

The hug took place in front of a massive Christmas tree in Madrid. The little girl was posing for a photo, unaware that her father was watching her with excitement from behind. When she saw the picture her mother took, she noticed that her dad was right there, just a few steps away. She immediately ran to him and leaped into his arms, in a scene that seems straight out of a movie.

“Crying over these videos is my passion,” wrote a user. “Eight in the morning, alone drinking coffee and crying for strangers,” confessed another. Many shared their own stories of separation due to emigration and expressed feeling identified with the reunion.

Of course, criticism was not absent. Some questioned the years of distance, but the majority defended the situation: “Migrating is only for the brave, those who leave with broken hearts and fight for a better future”, commented a supporter, defending the Cuban father.

Imaray herself reacted with laughter to the comments about the recording. "The one who recorded only had one job," wrote a user, to which the Cuban responded, "Haha the nerves, we were all very nervous."

The reunion, simple and sincere, touched the hearts of thousands who dream of a hug like that. Amidst the Christmas atmosphere, this video reminded us that the best gift cannot be bought: it is embraced.
