Three children and a teenager among the new coronavirus infections in Cuba

To date, Cuba has confirmed 224 cases of coronavirus in minors, of which 204 have been discharged.

Three children and a teenager are among those22 confirmed cases of coronavirus this Friday by the Cuban Ministry of Public Health.

With the addition of these four minors who tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, the number of confirmed minors so far stands at 224, of which 204 have been discharged.

The confirmed cases are distributed between Bauta, Artemisa, and the Cerro municipality, in Havana, and all appear as contacts of previously confirmed cases.

The confirmed cases are a7 year old girl, resident in the Bauta municipality, and 10 contacts linked to her remain under surveillance.

The other is a10 year old male, also resident in Bauta, and in that case 15 contacts are kept under surveillance.

The cases of the Cerro municipality, in Havana, are a9 year old girl which has generated surveillance for 56 contacts, anda 17 year old teenager, of which 19 contacts are kept under control.

According to recent statements by Dr. Francisco Durán García, national director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP),none of the children diagnosed with coronavirusin Cuba he has had complicationsnor do they suffer from respiratory syndrome linked to COVID-19.

With the 22 new cases confirmed this Friday, Cuba stands at 2,005 confirmed cases of coronavirus since the pandemic began.

However, 1,760 of those people have already overcome this disease, and have been discharged; 26 of them yesterday.

Since Monday, the Cuban government has not reported deaths as a result of the coronavirus, whichdeaths remain at 82 for that cause.
