2021 is leaving, a year that leaves a trail of feats and aspirations, of conquests and postponed dreams for Cuba and the Cubans, on the island or in the multiple geographies where our compatriots have come to fulfill their desires for a better life and a promising future.

The daily events that mark milestones in the history of a country are always marked by the commitment, talent, courage, clumsiness or malice of individuals destined to impose their mark, more or less transcendent. They are the faces that also give identity to a political initiative, a scientific discovery, a heroic sporting triumph or an emblematic song, a social outbreak, an era.
